GRADES 4 - 6

Pre-Kindergarten
The Pre-K program at Northlake Christian School encourages students to explore an advanced curriculum with a strong focus on developing phonics-based reading skills, laying the groundwork for foundational mathematics, and learning through play. Pre-K students enjoy a variety of enrichment opportunities, including library time, music, introduction to Motor Lab, and STEM implementation through Project Lead the Way curriculum.
With the Pre-K classrooms nestled in to a cozy and welcoming building dedicated for their exclusive use and their own outdoor playground, our youngest wolverines start their elementary journey ready for success!
Junior Kindergarten & Kindergarten
Junior Kindergarteners (JK) & Kindergarteners learn and play under the Godly, caring instruction of our seasoned teachers. The JK & Kindergarten classrooms are designed for creative learning and the curriculum focuses on biblical integration in every subject. Enrichment activities such as ALEKS and IXL enhance daily learning experiences. From  phonics, logical thinking, and reading skills to verse memory and singing, students' days are filled with constructive, foundational programs designed to prepare them to be lifelong learners.
Grades 1-3
In first through third grade, students focus on critical thinking and problem solving through grammar, math, science and history, all through the lens of God's word. Electives and extra-curricular activities encourage character development, social interaction, and leadership. With a focus on writing and research skills, Northlake's elementary students develop the tools they need to cultivate habits of academic engagement, Christ-centered inquiry, and community involvement.

Grades 4-6
In fourth through sixth grade, core curriculum weaves together biblical truths and broad fields of study, from enrichments such as Theater, Art, Music, and STEM to the foundational tracks of Bible, Science, History, Math, and English. As a 1:1 school, technology is integrated into classroom content in lab-based and hands-on courses. Considered the leaders of elementary, the fourth through sixth graders learn what true servant leadership is through opportunities to mentor younger students in classrooms.

Dear Elementary Parents,

The Elementary at Northlake Christian School offers a loving and safe environment that meets individualized needs as students learn and grow with an academically challenging curriculum.  Our Elementary, pre-kindergarten through sixth grade, engages students in an active, welcoming environment where biblical truths and concepts are integrated into a challenging curriculum.  Northlake Christian’s experienced teachers partner with parents in helping each child to think critically, lead courageously, and serve faithfully in school and beyond the classroom.  We welcome the opportunity to meet you and share all that NCS has to offer your student and your family.

Best,
