STEP 4: ENTRANCE TESTING

- All incoming students will be screened by the current Kindergarten teachers in the Spring
- The admissions office will reach out to you directly to schedule your child's evaluation

- Applicants will complete a STAR reading and math screening as well as a writing sample for their entrance test
- Applications must be submitted before setting up a testing date

STEP 5: PARENT AND STUDENT INTERVIEW
- After review of the applicant's testing scores, application and accompanying documents, the admissions committee will invite qualified applicants to an admissions interview with the principal.
- Interviews last approximately 30 minutes.
- The principal will meet with both the parent(s) and the student(s). At least one parent must be available for the interview.

Kindergarten Applicants:
- Applicants must be five years old by September 30th of the school year (JrK & K).
- Applicants must have a satisfactory screening as determined by the Kindergarten teachers, Elementary Academic Dean and Principals (JrK & K).
1st - 12th Grade Applicants:
- Applicants must have a qualifying score on the STAR Reading and Math assessments (grades 1 - 11).
- Applicants must have a minimum of 2.5 GPA on their most recent report cards (grades 5 - 11).
- All students must have a record of good behavior and attendance from their previous school.
- All 3 recommendations must be satisfactory.
- All applicants must have a satisfactory parent/student interview with the principal.
Homeschool Partnership Applicants:
- Applicants must have a minimum of 2.5 GPA on their most recent report cards (grades 5 - 11). If you do not have traditional report cards, please produce a selection of curriculum and course work samples.
- Standardized testing records are required. If you do not have an recent standardized testing available, please understand that the NCS-administered admissions placement testing will have heavy bearing on the admissions decision.
- In addition to the standardized testing uploaded, applicants must have a qualifying score on the Admissions Placement Testing in STAR Reading and Math assessments (grades 1 - 11).

- The admissions committee will evaluate your child's admissions file, including recommendation forms, grades, questionnaires, and placement test results.
- If your child is accepted for admission to Northlake Christian, you will receive an offer of enrollment via email.
- The offer of enrollment will contain instructions on how to set up your FACTS account and complete your online enrollment.
- All new enrollments must be submitted with a $650 non-refundable enrollment fee which is payable online (ACH or Credit Card) at the end of the process.
- You must accept your student's offer of enrollment within two weeks of notification to secure your child's placement in the class.
- If your child is accepted for admission to Northlake Christian, you will receive an offer of enrollment via email.
